Lori Abrams Rauchwerger

Lori Abrams-Rauchwerger is an award winning artist who creates art primarily inspired by dogs, people, & all other pets in any setting. Lori paints in a variety of media including oil, pastel and watercolor. She draws in a variety of media also: silverpoint, copper, pen & ink, and graphite. Lori’s passion for photography has been recognized by awards and inclusion in several national juried exhibitions. The American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog exhibited in 2000 Lori’s Oil “Kings of their Domain”and included her photo “Collies Chillin” as part of a Canine Photographs Exhibit in 2011. In 2016 Lori’s photographs were featured in the Say, Cheese Photography Exhibit at TCC Metro Art Gallery in Tulsa. Lori’s art has also been shown in group shows at The Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art in Tulsa, The Museum Broken Arrow, Tulsa Performing Arts Center Gallery, The Livings Arts Center Gallery, and at The Tulsa Historical Society. In May of 2016, at The Kaleidoscope of Art Exhibit group show, her art was chosen for Intermission

Magazine. Her canine themed ornament collage has been shown at Philbrook Museum. Her non-canine art has been included in many juried exhibits including two, Oh! Tulsa Biennial exhibits, with special notice given in Tulsa World of her rendition in silverpoint and ink of “Tulsa Towers”.

Lori’s interest in video technology led her to create the, dogsbylori video Podcast, one of the first listed in iTunes nationally in 2006, which led to several interviews on popular nationally syndicated tech focused radio programs and podcasts.
She has done extensive work in graphic arts designing numerous Posters for many group art exhibits and the logo for Alpha Rho Tau Civic Art Association.

Her art has won numerous local and national awards and is in collections through out US and Brazil. Lori is an Associate Member of Women Artists of the West. She is also an associate member of the Pastel Society of America. She is on the Artist Registry of the AKC Museum of the Dog. She currently serves as Social Media Specialist for Tulsa Artists Guild. She has served simultaneously as Publicity Chair for both AlphaRhoTau Civic Art Association and Tulsa Artists Guild. She was Executive Director of The Artist Documentary Project 2016-2019.

Lori accepts commissions for her artistry designed specifically for clients whether in Photography, Oil, Pastel, Silverpoint, Watercolour and/or Graphite.
